Where do you work after Hotjar?
May 02, 2026
For some, remote work isn’t just a perk, it’s a lifestyle requirement. The idea that someone who doesn’t even know their name might force them back into the office is a risk that is often too large to tolerate.
As a result, they might actively look for companies that are fully remote, even if it comes with tradeoffs.
These people aren’t just “digital nomads”, the flashy lifestyle type of fully remote folks who you will often hear about on the new news or on podcasts. Most of us who are fully remote are often parents, caregivers, have specific medical requirements that make office travel difficult, or simply don’t want to waste 2 hours of their day commuting. We would rather spend that time with our family, working on a side project, or pursuing a hobby.
So when Hotjar didn’t remain a place worth working, where did these people go? This list is not meant to compare these companies to Hotjar, it should serve as a pointer for others who might find themselves in a similar situation.
These companies are listed in no particular order. Taglines are taken from their websites at the time of writing.
If any of my former colleagues notice I missed their company, you know how to reach me :).
